Justin Nelson

I make things. Right now that’s mostly software and AI systems, but the work spans design, motion, photography, and music, and I pull from all of it when I build.

About

I'm the AI Engineer at GIEBEL FilTec, a filtration company that sells internationally. I build the internal tools and the AI behind them: product finders for customers, sales tooling that talks to our CRM, anything that saves the team from doing it by hand. I'm also studying Computer Science at UGA.

I'm self taught in most of what I use. What I'm making occasionally includes video editing, motion design, graphics, or photography rather than code, and that's still how I see a screen when I build one. I learn by making the thing, breaking it, and fixing it, and I've been doing that since I put together my first computer at 8.

I'm into AI, human computer interaction, design, discrete math, and how any of it actually reaches people. Outside that I produce my own music and read too much philosophy.
